Safer Internet Day (SID) is an annual, worldwide event will be held on Tuesday 5 February 2019 to help encourage a better internet, with this year’s theme— the 4 R’s of Cyber Safety: Respect, Responsibility, Reasoning and Resilience.
Safer Internet Day encourages everyone to play their part, including children and young people, parents and carers, teachers, educators and social workers, as well as industry, decision makers and politicians.
The 2019 Safer Internet Day theme is: ‘Together for a better internet’ to encourage individuals to create a better internet by developing four, critical skills. We call these skills the 4Rs: Respect, Responsibility, Reasoning and Resilience.
The Office of the eSafety Commissioner is running activities and sharing collateral on SID, focussing in particular on respect.
